We had a great time at Longleat Centre Parcs last weekend, and were incredibly lucky with the weather as it was mostly dry during the day - not what we had anticipated given the forecast. Although I overheard someone say that we'd had all 4 seasons in 1 weekend, and it even snowed as a special treat for Rob!! We took Rob's waterproof camera, so there will be some swimming photos to come, but it's old technology, so those will have to wait until we have worked out how to process films these days!!!.
Tess and Brodie enjoyed cycling everywhere ......
..... although Mr Health & Safety did make VERY regular stops, just in case a car or the land train was coming along the road (these pics were taken on moving in day, so the cars were allowed, but the Land Train didn't even come along this road). So progress was slow, but better than having the opposite problem. Slightly unfortunately when the wind rustled the leaves in the trees, it sounded a bit like traffic was coming ...... and there were a lot of trees!!!
While the children hit the various playgrounds, Mummy was able to take 'not more photos' and have a play with different techniques ...........
speed queen ....... (sorry, princess!!!)
Daddy taking up his natural role as skipper of HMS Yellow Peril (by some miracle, Mummy was able to get away with staying on shore!) .......
One should always keep those royal skills honed and well practised, one never knows when they will be required ...........
Tess was very proud of the hair braid she got done on the last day - just as well, as it took us 2 hours to get from one end of the forest to the other ...... we'd forgotten to factor in the fact that the land train doesn't run on moving out day, so we had to set out as intrepid explorers on bikes and shoulders and stop halfway at a refueling station (cafe and playground!). Thank goodness she liked it once we got there!!!!
