Bit of a catch up!!

OK, it's been a while!! I've got completely behind with my blog posts, following technical hitches - with cameras to start with, then with the computer - followed by having too many other more urgent fires to put out and all the holiday preparations ....... so, excuses over, here we go again, with a whistlestop catch-up of what we've been up to over recent months (after I got the small cameras working again!), before I upload the mammoth holiday report later today .......

Back in May, we attended the annual Titchfield village outing - to a Bluebell picnic in Royal Victoria Country Park, at Netley. The bluebells were fantastic around here this year (and featured in quite a few of my portrait shoots around that time too).........

We went to a Beltain celebration of Spring at Butser Celtic Farm. A huge wicker man is built ahead of time, and burned at sunset. I'm not sure if this is in keeping with celtic traditions, but in our household, he has been nicknamed the 'Shaun the Sheep man' - for obvious reasons, I think .........

Our friend Hannah was also there, with her Dad and Grandma (unfortunately, Mum Susie was ill so had to miss it). They go every year, and were the ones who told us about it.

Enjoying the live music ......

Watching the Morris dancers in front of The Round House ...

Making a face on a piece of wood, using seeds, leaves and other natural objects ....

Watching the woodworkers in action .....

And finally, burning Wickerman and his friend, Shaun .......

At June's book group (Enid Blyton's The Faraway Tree) .....

At music group ....

Another day, another group of morris dancers .... these ones at the Hampshire Green Fair in the Meon Valley ....

Different day, different headgear .....

Walking through the bluebell woods with our friends Teyha and Zeanne, after attending an open day at Inwoods Small School (where Tess is hoping to go on Fridays from September) .....

The first time Brodie wrote his own name .....

A day at Wellington Country Park, near Reading, with Ingrid, Iain, Alexander & Anna ....

With Hannah on a home ed group trip to Stonehenge .....

After walking round Stonehenge with the rest of the tourists, we headed over to Avebury stones with Susie, Dean, Hannah, and another family, and spent the afternoon there.......

Collecting wool .....

And finally, Tess & Brodie have been enjoying playing tennis each week after swimming, and their ball skills are improving all the time......
